We all face many changes across our lives. Changes in our private lives or the workplace affect us all regularly, and each other of us deal with change differently. You might be realising how it has been harder to control stress and make effective decisions in emotional turmoil? Well, you are not alone! Several factors are at the source of this hurdle. For instance, understanding that change brings a major perception of threat in your world induces high levels of stress, your habits heavily disrupted, new behaviours required, and there is a lot of uncertainty, not only in our daily lives but as well about the future in the workplace. But with the 4S's Model (situation, self, support, and strategies), you can prepare strategies to manage whatever challenges ahead of you.
Examples of stressful changes:
- Getting a new boss, receiving a promotion, or losing your job is a change
- Changing jobs, adjusting to a new role, experiencing team conflict, or your company was bought by another business
- Starting off your own business, an increase of financial obligations, or a career change
- Moving houses is a change, so it is remodelling your house or losing it
- Getting married, living together, or getting divorced
- Having a baby is a change for everyone in the family
- Illness, Chronic Illness, or sudden disability, or even becoming a carer
- Losing a loved one is a change – a massive one
This webinar is a great introduction for Managers, Directors, Team Managers, and individuals who are experiencing changes in their professional or personal life. It is common they might feel their decision-making is not as effective as it used to be, or that they can perform better. We know why that is happening and can help!
